Advocacy and Human Rights

Raising awareness for social justice issues and human rights is central to Edmund Rice Mission. Since 2007, Edmund Rice International (ERI) has been working at a global level to promote and protect the rights of children and young people who are marginalised due to poverty. ERI is active at the United Nations in Geneva and New York enabling them to continue their advocacy work on an international scale, while also partnering with local communities to build capacity at the grassroots level. Many Edmund Rice groups are now working at a grassroots level to develop local responses to social justice issues and to advocate for change.
