Justice Desk Africa

Based in South Africa, Justice Desk Africa is an award-winning human rights organisation operating across nine African countries working to empower local people to understand and defend their human rights. They equip young people with knowledge of their rights, the language to name injustice and the confidence to act with empathy and accountability. By working with children and young people before harm becomes entrenched, they interrupt cycles of violence, inequality and silence. This is not about creating activists for a moment, but about nurturing ethical leaders for life.
Justice Desk Africa’s approach is intentionally holistic. They work with girls, boys, youth, educators, families, and communities because transformation does not happen in isolation. Their programmes combine human rights education, psychosocial support, mentorship and advocacy to move participants from awareness to action, and from survival to leadership. Justice Desk Africa does not impose solutions, but walks alongside communities, recognising lived experience as expertise and local leadership as essential to sustainable change.
