In collaboration with the Edmund Rice Schools Office in England, ERD developed an Advent Campaign for Irish and English schools. The campaign highlighted two Edmund Rice development projects: the Girls Empowerment project in Sierra Leone and Centro Hermano Manolo in Bolivia.
The ERD team had the pleasure of meeting Lontia Chinkubala, former Africa Province Programme Manager, when she was in Dublin in January.
2025 will mark 50 years of missionary work for Dublin-native Br. Eddie McArdle. Over the years, Eddie has worked in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Peru and Bolivia.

The ERD team had the pleasure of meeting the Misean Cara mentors when they were in Ireland in June for the Misean Cara AGM meeting.
In April, Programme Manager Naidi McDonnell headed to Peru and Bolivia to visit the Edmund Rice Latin America projects. The local mission office team welcomed Naidi to the region and organised her visit to the project sites.
At the May AGM, we welcomed two new Board Members and said farewell to Br. John Casey and Br. Dean McGlaughlin.
In May, we hosted an Open House at Edmund Rice House for Dublin-based Brothers. The event was an opportunity to thank Brothers for their support over the years, and to give an update on how we work with Edmund Rice Mission.
