In June, ERD Programme Manager and Safeguarding Lead Naidi McDonnell attended the International Safeguarding Conference 2023 in Rome.

EFL empowers and provides opportunities for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS to become self-reliant. EFL takes a holistic approach through psycho-social programming, health education and economic empowerment initiatives.
This past May, the Edmund Rice Education Beyond Borders congress took place in Dublin. Educators from all over the globe travelled to Dublin City University to participate in the congress and to share and learn with the wider Edmund Rice Network.
In October 2022, Typhoon Paeng made landfall in the Philippines and the Sama-Badjao community in Bato, Leyte was severely affected. 48 Badjao houses were washed away, and an emergency response was immediately organised by Edmund Rice Ministries Foundation Philippines.
This January, Programme Manager Naidi McDonnell and Capacity Development and Communications Manager Abigail Carney attended Edmund Rice International's Human Rights and Advocacy Programme.
We are delighted to present the ERD Strategic Plan 2023-25. The development of the plan was a key focus for ERD throughout 2022 and we were committed to an inclusive process which was informed by the voice of our most important partners – ER development projects and the communities and individuals with whom they work.
In February, Fiona and Naidi along with ERD Board Member Dee McMahon had the opportunity to visit the partner projects in Kenya.
In December 2022, 10 beneficiaries from The Justice Desk traveled to South Korea and spoke on the power of Everyday Activism.
