The Edmund Rice Mission has been established in India since 1841. The work is mainly in education and outreach, and spread across schools and projects across the entire country. India is the world’s largest democracy and second most populous country having emerged as a major power in the 1990s. However, India is still tackling huge social, economic and environmental problems.
