This project supports 100 women in the remote Mabureh community, Sierra Leone, to improve their livelihoods, food security, and financial independence.
Addressing the deep-rooted poverty and gender inequality affecting women in Sierra Leone, the initiative provides training in climate-resilient and sustainable farming practices, along with essential inputs such as seeds, planting materials, and processing equipment.
By strengthening agricultural productivity and promoting better nutrition, the project enhances household income and overall well-being while contributing to more resilient local food systems. It also tackles social challenges by engaging the community on issues such as gender equality, early marriage, and teenage pregnancy.
Through a holistic approach that combines economic empowerment, skills development, and social awareness, the project aims to create lasting change in Mabureh - uplifting those most marginalised while fostering a more inclusive and equitable community.
