What we do

Edmund Rice Development supports over 20 partner projects in 11 countries across the globe through facilitating access to funding, building capacity and enabling collaboration.

We work with project partners who tackle poverty and injustice in their local communities. Our project partners work in Africa, Asia and Latin America responding holistically to local needs in education, health, human rights and livelihoods. While we are a small organisation in Ireland, we are part of a wider network seeking to challenge injustice.

Using a rights-based approach, our partners tackle the root causes of poverty, empowering marginalised communities to advocate at a grass-roots, national and global level. We proactively support projects that tackle the root causes of structural power imbalances that have historically disadvantaged women.We are committed to transparency and accountability, and to an efficient, effective operation. We work hard to make sure we achieve as much as possible with the funds we receive in order to ensure they have the maximum positive impact.
