Launch of the ERD Strategic Plan 2023-25
We are delighted to present the ERD Strategic Plan 2023-25. The development of the new Strategic Plan was a key focus for ERD throughout 2022 and we were committed to an inclusive process which was informed by the voice of our most important partners – ER development projects and the communities and individuals with whom they work.
With support from Caplor Horizons, key stakeholders from across Edmund Rice Mission, including governors and managers of development projects, funding partners and the Congregation Leadership Team, engaged in conversations and discussion about priority areas. Following stakeholder consultations on zoom, a
crucial meeting was held in Dublin in May with ERD Members, Board and team, supported by inputs from key partners, ERFA and ERI. External stakeholders and advisors were consulted including Action Aid, Dóchas and Misean Cara. In December 2022, Board Member Elser Llanos came to Dublin for a final planning session where the plan was refined and subsequently approved by the Board at their December Board Meeting.
Our three year goal for 2023-2025 is ‘to support the sustainability of Edmund Rice development projects enabled by a thriving network of partners.’ Our four key strategic priority areas are:
- Diversifying and mobilising funding
- Building capacity to increase local impact
- Developing collaboration to achieve greater impact
- Facilitation and sharing learning
In March, the Strategic Plan was officially launched via Zoom with various stakeholders in attendance. We thank all those across the Edmund Rice network who have engaged with us over the last 12 months to help us to map the future direction of ERD. We look forward to working with our partners to help realise this exciting and ambitious plan.
