In Memory: Br. Vincent Mallya

ERD is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Br. Vincent Mallya in Kenya on November 21st. For many years, Br. Vincent served as Mission Coordinator for the East Africa District, providing invaluable support to development projects across the region. He was recently appointed to lead the Star Support project in South Sudan. Unfortunately, he contracted COVID-19 while traveling to the project, and sadly passed away from the virus after several weeks of treatment in Nairobi.

We are so grateful to have known Br. Vincent. His energy, enthusiasm and zest for life inspired all of us who worked with him. While his time on earth was cut short, we know his contributions and commitment to Edmund Rice Mission will continue to inspire others for many years to come. Our deepest sympathies extend to Br. Vincent’s family in Tanzania, the Brothers and his many friends around the world. May he Rest in Peace.
